Business Development Manager, Medtech (m/w/d)

IQVIA’s Contract Sales & Medical Solutions (CSMS) provides outsourced solutions that help MedTech companies with all aspects of clients’ commercial, go-to-market needs in healthcare professional and patient engagement. In particular, through CSMS you can build and deploy a contract sales and/ or medical team that reaches the physicians, pharmacists and patients you want and that's scalable to changing market dynamics. These includes recruitment, training and deployment of customer or IQVIA managed primary and secondary sales teams as well as vacancy management.
This is a sales individual contributor role in our MedTech (CSMS) team, where IQVIA is in an exciting phase of further developing its capabilities. This role will drive sales for MedTech clients as well as lead the CSMS account strategy for a portfolio of MedTech companies in Germany, working closely with global and local teams relevant for the local business opportunities.
A result-driven professional with experience in Business Development or Key Account Management in MedTech for a variety of complex products or services.
Understanding and inside knowledge of the German healthcare system and the German healthcare market paired with a strong understanding of business.
Develop & implement strategic and tactical account plans for assigned MedTech accounts.
Establish, develop long term relationships with key senior stakeholders & decision-makers.
Support clients with strategic / critical business issues and establish a shared vision on client needs.
Grow CSMS business in accounts (size / value / duration) via repeat business, cross and up-sell.
Achieve and exceed annual new business and revenue targets.
Manage a balanced pipeline of short-term tactical opportunities and strategic engagements.
Manage sales opportunities across the full sales cycle (lead identification, lead qualification, proposal development, pitching, closing, contract negotiation).
Systematic completion of associated sales process activities (e.g. opportunity management, financial, contracting).
Maintain, develop strong understanding of MedTech industry, with a focus on commercial and go-to-market trends and challenges.
Understand IQVIA competitor landscape and position IQVIA effectively in proposals & pitches.
Work closely with CSMS and other colleagues to design client solutions.
Orchestrate resources & obstacles to create innovative solutions.
Develop understanding of the broader IQVIA internal network.
Co-ordinate with broader accounts team to ensure alignment & awareness of opportunities across other functions.
Experience and qualifications:
Degree in Life Science or related field.
Current role must encompass a sales target that you are directly responsible for personally.
Demonstrated Business Development and Solution Sales Management experience in the B2B MedTech sector, directly selling to commercial MedTech organizations or working for MedTech companies.
Proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with clients.
Fluency in English and German; additional language(s) a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, can manage own workload with minimal direction.
Positive, energetic, flexible, ‘can do’ attitude, with a solution focused mindset.
Able to work collaboratively in complex matrix teams & structures.
High proficiency in of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
